Membership
The Ramblers' Association helps you make the most of walking and the countryside.
New Introduce a Friend Scheme:a new and exciting scheme available to all Ramblers members.
Each member who introduces a friend to membership of the Ramblers will get a £10 Rohan voucher to redeem against purchases of £50 or more at Rohan stores or online at www.rohan.co.uk. To take advantage of this scheme, visit www.ramblers.org.uk/gift where you can print off a special joining form, or call 020 7339 8595.
One voucher will be issued for both single and joint memberships and offer applies to standard and reduced rates alike. The vouchers will be valid until 31st December 2008.
Members receive:
- the quarterly colour magazine, Walk, with its celebrity columnists and campaigning journalism
- membership of one of over 400 Ramblers groups which organise walks and social events throughout the year - Ramblers groups run about 500 led walks a week around the country and members are entitled to take part in any of them
- regular local newsletters - see our journal page
- the essential Rambler's Yearbook and Accommodation Guide, containing over 3,000 places to stay and information on maps, long distance paths, equipment shops......
- discounts in many outdoor retailers in Britain
- access to our extensive library of Ordnance Survey maps: Tel: 020 7339 8510 to borrow a map or maps, stating which map is required and when. The map(s) will then be sent to you by post with an invoice for the hire charge. The maps may be borrowed for up to six weeks. (Your local library may also have some maps for reference or to borrow.)
