This site is a collaborative hub for the purpose of sharing the very best walks and days out in the North Middlesex and Hertfordshire area.

The contributors to this site come from a wide range of backgrounds, but they all have one thing in common: a passion for enjoying the countryside and a love for the local area. There’s something for everyone here in this peaceful part of the world, whether you’re looking for a day full of adventurous outdoor pursuits, or just a quiet patch of grass to enjoy a picnic on – North Middlesex and Hertfordshire have got you covered.

We’ve taken the time to visit the area’s most popular tourist attractions to see if they’re worth the trouble and we’ve also tried to seek out the more discreet corners of the area, so you can discover a little slice of local heaven to while away an afternoon in. From the grand St. Albans Cathedral, to the quiet peace of Verulamium Park, there are some great days out to discover that are often completely free of charge.

However, if you’re looking to try something a little more unusual, or don’t mind spending a little money, then you could always head to Paradise Wildlife Park in Broxbourne, to get a taste of the wild side or check out some massive planes at de Havilland Aircraft Museum. There’s also austere English charm in the form of Hatfield House, Bhaktivedanta Manor and Cheslyn House & Gardens.

So before you book your next trip to Hertfordshire or North Middlesex, make sure you check out our sight to get the low down on the best places and things to do first!
